Our Young Puppy Philosophy

At Kynovia, we believe in shaping behavior through intentional attention. Young puppies are in an exploration phase – they don’t yet understand “good” or “bad” behavior. What they do understand is what gets a reaction. If we consistently react to unwanted behaviors, even with frustration or correction, we risk reinforcing those behaviors. Instead, we use a calm, neutral “no” and immediately redirect the puppy to an appropriate behavior. This teaches boundaries without adding confusion or excitement to the moment.

Just as importantly, don’t forget to acknowledge the good moments! Many people ignore their puppy when they're calm, quiet, or making great choices. But that’s the perfect time to give praise or affection.

Our philosophy is simple: No reaction to unwanted behavior – just neutrality and redirection. Lots of attention and reward for desired behavior. This is how confident, balanced dogs are developed.
