About Us

Meaning of Our Name

Kynovia is more than just a name. It’s a reflection of our passion, purpose, and philosophy. The name comes from the Greek word “kynos,” meaning “dog,” and “via,” meaning “path” or “way.” Together, Kynovia represents “The Way of the Dog.”

To us, that means honoring the unique journey every dog is on with structure, compassion, and connection. It’s about meeting dogs where they are, guiding them toward balance, and helping their humans grow alongside them. Whether it’s training, boarding, or enrichment, Kynovia is where dogs go to learn, thrive, and feel at home.

Meet the Trainer – Robin Belor, Founder of Kynovia

Hi, I’m Robin Belor, the founder and head trainer at Kynovia. Every dog that comes through our doors trains directly with me; no hand-offs, no guessing who’s handling your pup. This ensures each dog receives personalized, consistent attention tailored to their unique personality, needs, and goals.

I take a balanced approach to training, blending clear communication, reward-based motivation, and fair boundaries to help dogs build confidence, calmness, and real-world reliability. My mission is to develop not just obedience, but a trust-based relationship between you and your dog that makes everyday life easier and more enjoyable.

You’ll always know who’s working with your dog, and I take pride in creating a safe, structured, and supportive space where both dogs and their humans can learn and grow.

You may occasionally meet my husband, Christopher, who helps behind the scenes with support sessions, transportation, and go-home handoffs when a formal lesson isn’t required. He shares my passion for animals and plays an important role in keeping this family-run business flowing smoothly.

At Kynovia, your dog isn’t just another name on the schedule —
they’re part of the pack.
