Our Training Philosophy

6-Week Advanced Obedience & Behavior Modification
Not all dogs need the same kind of training — and not all behavior challenges can be solved in two weeks. Our 6-Week Advanced Obedience & Behavior Modification program is designed for dogs who need more structure, time, and targeted work to build lasting results in the real world.
Whether your dog is struggling with reactivity, impulse control, confidence issues, or you’re looking for a higher level of obedience and consistency, this program delivers customized, balanced training backed by structure, patience, and leadership.
What This Program Does:
This isn’t a cookie-cutter obedience course. Your dog will receive an individually tailored training plan focused on consistent obedience, improved state of mind, and real-life behavior — all in a safe, structured, and trainer-supervised environment.
We focus on clarity, communication, and calmness, helping dogs understand boundaries, build confidence, and shift unwanted behavior patterns.
Common Issues We Address:
-
Leash reactivity (lunging, barking at dogs/people)
-
Overexcitement and lack of impulse control
-
Nervousness, fear-based behaviors, or insecurity in new environments
-
Inconsistent recall
-
Poor leash manners or inability to walk calmly in public
-
Jumping, nipping, mouthing, rushing doors, etc.
-
Overstimulation around distractions
-
Mild resource guarding or pushy/rude behavior in the home

What Your Dog Will Learn:
Our focus is obedience, mindset, and behavior — not just tricks. This program teaches your dog how to remain calm, responsive, and respectful even in high-distraction, real-life settings.
Core Skills Taught and Reinforced:
-
Sit and Down (with duration and distractions)
-
Place command (stay calmly on a bed/cot in any environment)
-
Structured Heel (with auto-sits and leash communication)
-
Reliable Recall (come when called, even with distractions)
-
Threshold Manners (waiting calmly at doors, gates, crates)
-
Leave It and Drop It
-
Polite behavior around guests
-
Disengagement from triggers (dogs, bikes, people, etc.)
We also work on neutrality — teaching your dog to coexist calmly with the world, instead of reacting to it.
Real-World Training & Exposure:
This program includes frequent field trips and public outings to ensure your dog’s training transfers beyond the home. We work in:
-
Pet-friendly stores and busy sidewalks
-
Parks and nature trails
-
Parking lots and new surfaces (safely)
-
Environments with movement, sound, and distractions
Your dog will learn to focus, follow commands, and stay calm in unpredictable, real-life scenarios — not just in the training yard.
Tools & Training Methods:
We use a balanced training approach that is tailored to your dog’s individual needs. Tools may include slip leads, prong collars, or e-collars when appropriate — always introduced with care, education, and clear communication.
Training is structured, fair, and designed to help your dog feel safe, confident, and understood.
